TSA seizes two handguns at Boise Airport, owners face hefty federal penalties

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) caught two handguns Monday morning at the Boise Airport.

The first gun was a 9 mm Smith & Wesson pistol. It was loaded with nine bullets.

The second gun caught was an unloaded Raven Arms MP25 Pistol with ammunition found in his carry-on bag.

TSA says both men face stiff federal financial penalties that can go as high as $14,950.

The TSA reminds travelers to put their unloaded firearms in checked luggage only, and it must be packed in a hard-sided locked case and declared at the airline ticket counter.
